You know what you don't want to do when travelling through the United Arab Emirates? Carry drugs. Those affluent folk do NOT like narcotics of any kind. Unfortunately for Keith Brown, a British youth worker, he was carrying. The weird part is how much and where he was carrying it.

A man named James Moore found himself on the no-fly list a year ago. He's never done anything illegal or that might link him with terrorists. But every time he flies, he must get to the airport 3 hours early so there will be plenty of time for the authorities to confirm that, yes, he's not THE James Moore that they are supposedly looking for. Then he can get on the plane, after a nice thorough security search. There is, of course, no way to be taken OFF the list, and heaven forbid that they cross-reference the list with something people generally have on them, like a specific credit card or driver's license number. But how did James Moore get on the list in the first place?

It certainly couldn't have anything to do with the less-than-flattering book he wrote about Karl Rove, entitled Bush's Brain.

Pakistan's Supreme Court has extended a ban on making, selling and flying kites that it imposed two months ago after ruling the sport had become increasingly deadly, an official said Saturday.

At an annual kite-flying festival in February, 19 people were killed and over 200 were injured. While the court was hearing the case, police swung batons and lobbed tear gas shells outside the building to disperse about 500 kite-makers and kite-flying enthusiasts who were trying to attend the proceedings.

Senator Edward Kennedy was "accidentally" put on the TSB's no-fly list. Gee, it's odd how left-wing activists, especially those in peace groups that condemn violence of any sort, often end up on the no-fly list, particularly when there's no official way to get OFF the list. Unless you're a senator. And even then it may take several tries.
