Anthrax Hoax Mailer Caught: Suprise, He's a Freeper

FBI agents have arrested a man accused of sending over a dozen envelopes filled with white powder and threatening letters to public figures including MSNBC anchor Keith Olbermann, David Letterman, Jon Stewart, Speaker-in-Waiting Nancy Pelosi, and Democratic Senator Charles Schumer.
Shockingly, the suspect is a 39-year-old white man who lives with his parents, spends a lot of time on the right-wing site Free Republic, and thinks Ann Coulter is a "goddess." FBI agents trailed him to a mailbox and watched him post a powder-filled envelope, catching him in the act and charging him with the felony of sending threats by U.S. Mail.

| WBRZ airs 'fake' news, says media watchdog The Center for Media Democracy and Free Press, a nonpartisan media policy group, cite Baton Rouge's WBRZ as a culprit in a 10-month investigation of a national "fake news" epidemic. Specifically, the sting focused on corporate-sponsored videos passed off as news. Investigators found 77 TV stations, including WBRZ, actively disguising sponsored content from General Motors, Intel, Pfizer, Capital One and others to make it look like their own reporting. More than a third of the time, stations aired fake news in its entirety as their own, the report said. |

| Common Cause has produced a report, titled "Wolves in Sheep's Clothing," which describes some of the astroturf front groups that have been created by the cable, telephone and internet industry to lobby for legislation favorable to corporate interests. Groups such as Consumers for Cable Choice, FreedomWorks, the Progress and Freedom Foundation, the American Legislative Exchange Council, New Millennium Research Council, Frontiers of Freedom, Keep It Local NJ, Internet Innovation Alliance and MyWireless.org "accept subsidies or grants from corporate interests to lobby or produce research when they normally might not, but too often fail to disclose the connection between their policy positions and their bank accounts. ... These sorts of campaigns are dangerous for our democracy. They deliberately mislead citizens, and they deliberately mislead our lawmakers, who are already charged with the difficult task of making sense of complex telecommunications policies." |

O'Reilly takes on Wesley Clark and lectures to him about the false military history of World War II, goofs up the facts twice, pisses on famous world events and atrocities and then when the truth comes out, Fox news rewrites transcripts and O'Reilly accuses people of not understanding what he said. This goes way beyond "insatiable hubris" -- you have to see it to believe it, as MSNBC's Keith Olbermann is totally fed up with Fox New's "reporting" that the Titanic sunk the iceberg...
How to address the growing problem: not enough people are signing up for the armed forces to keep waging this war in Iraq. Bonuses don't seem to be helping, and they've turned to keeping soldiers for extra tours of duty because they can't replace them. (Be All that You Can Be...for two or three times as long as you signed up for.)

Apparently, reproducing any imagine of Mohammed is some sort of grave sin.

This is isn't half bad either, since there are many on it whom we'd expect, such as Geraldo Riveria, Bob "Douchebag of Liberty" Novak, Michael Brown, George Lucas, Donvan McNabb and other notables. Trey Parker, one of the creators of Southpark, claims in a GQ interview that they chose to do an episode parodying Scientology in protest of the rumors that Showtime refused to let Penn and Teller do an episode of Bullshit exposing Scientology. Furthermore, the offensive Southpark episode, "Trapped in the Closet" that mocks the controversial church often called a "cult" and ridicules Tom Cruise will not be run in Britain due to threats from the litigious former "Top Gun."
Fox's Bill O'Reilly appeared on Letterman's show last night, where Dave danced with "Falafel Bill" over the administration's use of bad intelligence in the run-up to Iraq, and after defending his right to be unsympathetic to a woman who lost her son in Iraq, claiming she called terrorists, "Freedom Fighters", Letterman responded, "60% of what you say is crap."
While American media railed against the horrors of Saddam Hussein using chemical weapons against Iran as justification for Iraq's invasion, the little known fact that the Unites States executed similarly henious acts is now starting to surface.
