It's amusing that media like Fox News routinely make fun of Wiki as being an unreliable source of information. Now we know why: People at Fox have been systematically hacking entries in Wiki and removing/distorting facts.

This time they've been caught red-handed, with their pants down, thanks to Wikipedia's "liberally-biased" system that tracks all changes to the system and where they came from.

It's one of those truths everybody knows: men are sex-crazed, rutting horndogs, catting around and sleeping with as many women as possible. Meanwhile, women are more choosy, keeping their legs crossed until Mr. Right...or at least, Mr. I'm-in-Lurve-With-Him...comes along.

There's just one problem with this picture. It's mathematically impossible.

It's a curious thing that, over the past 10 - 12 days, the news from Iraq refers to the combatants there as "al-Qaida" fighters. When did that happen?

Until a few days ago, the combatants in Iraq were "insurgents" or they were referred to as "Sunni" or "Shia" fighters in the Iraq Civil War. Suddenly, without evidence, without proof, without any semblance of fact, the US military command is referring to these combatants as "al-Qaida".

Welcome to the latest in Iraq propaganda.

Computers are used for all sorts of tasks these days, from communication to helping balance your checkbook. You might think some applications aren't really ideal for a computer, but checking this web site shows keeping track of the unbelievable amount of lies told by the Bush administration is a job only a computer can likely perform.

Tens of thousands of references are listed, covering things you know, things you forgot about, and many, many things you didn't know, about the things this administration has had the audacity to do to and tell the American people.

During an interview on "The Situation Room" this afternoon, John McCain told Wolf Blitzer that he needs to "get up to speed" and stop reporting three-month-old news from Iraq. According to McCain, the surge is working and the streets of Baghdad are safe for Americans to go strolling down.

The only problem? Michael Ware, who is, ya know, in Baghdad, says McCain hasn't a clue…

UPDATE: McCain goes to Baghdad.. kind of like Debbie Does Dallas except more people get screwed.

A British documentary that claimed global warming is a swindle was itself flawed with major errors which seriously undermine the program's credibility, according to an investigation by The Independent, one of England's prominent newspapers.

"The Great Global Warming Swindle" was based on graphs that were distorted, mislabelled, or just plain wrong. The graphs were nevertheless used to attack the credibility and honesty of climate scientists.

Think your favorite web site has integrity?

Blogger Colleen Caldwell rants and riffs about whatever strikes her fancy — a run-in with her child's school principal, the rising price of Girl Scout thin mints, or an upcoming movie that caught her eye.

"Has anyone out there read a book called 'The Ultimate Gift'? I just heard that a movie is being made of the book (which sold 4 million copies)," she wrote in a recent post on her site, Simple Kind of Life.

The 30-year-old software analyst from Brooksville, Fla., went on to praise the inspirational message of the Fox Faith film, which opens today, about a trust fund baby who discovers the joy of giving.

One thing Caldwell didn't mention: She was paid $12 to build buzz about the movie's opening and the charitable campaign — bringing her blogging-for-dollars take to more than $7,700.

I can assure you here at BSAlert, we're not taking any money to run stories... after all, when have we said something nice about anybody lately?

Apparently the Dean of the University of Minnesota medical school does not see a conflict of interest in joining the board of Pepsi, though the University has an organization called the Obesity Prevention Center which doesn't think too highly of sodas in the fight against fat.

To add insult to injury, Dean Deborah Powell claims that when she accepted the role as PepsiCo board member, she was unaware that it paid an annual fee of $30,000 plus $2,000 per board meeting attended and $60,000 in stock.

Joe Rogan Verses Carlos Mencia

[Liars]
Normally we don't post goofy celebrity crap on this site. I could care less about Anna Nicole Smith or which closet Tom Cruise is hiding in, but the delicious irony of this was too tempting...

Joe Rogan says, So here's how it all went down...I had a set at the comedy store Saturday night, and after I closed, I was bringing on the next comedian, a guy named Kirk Fox that works for Carlos Mencia. I introduce him saying that he's a funny guy, and that he opens on the road for Carlos "Menstealia." That’s the name we call him at the comedy store, and of course Carlos doesn't like it one bit. Carlos was apparently in the room when I said this, and the perfect combination of ego and timing made him decide that this was the night to put his foot down. As I got off stage and headed towards the back of the room, he grabbed the mike away from Kirk, and said that I was too much of a pussy to say that shit to his face. Which to me, is something akin to the hottest girl in the world daring you to f*ck her while you're standing there in her bedroom naked with a boner..."

Update: Carlos Mencia has apparently turned into a whiny baby and forced Rogan's agency to dump him.

Since Carlos Mencia isn't original, isn't Mexican, and isn't talented, and wants to destroy Joe Rogan for exposing his theft of other comedians' material, why not send a message to comedy central about how you feel. Maybe if enough of us complain, Mencia can get a dose of his own medicine? Also, here's a petition to get Mencia off Comedy Central.

Yesterday, Fox News featured a segment highlighting a right-wing report that Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) attended an Islamic “madrassa” school as a 6-year-old child, and failed to correct the false claim that Obama is Muslim. So now we have a major network inferring that a senator who is a presidential candidate is a Muslim and possibly a terrorist. How low can Fox go?

FOX Launches "Crazy Clinton" Campaign

To promote his new Clinton Global Initiative, a program to bring experts and nations together to solve social and environmental problems, President Clinton filmed an interview with FOX News's Chris Wallace.

Since this is Fox News, all didn't go according to what they told the former president, and Wallace ended up trying to assassinate Clinton's character by reinforcing the lies perpetrated by the right-wing smear "Path to 9/11." blaming Clinton for Bin Laden's attacks.

In this interview, Wallace opened the Pandora's box and Clinton refused to let him shut it--he lashed back at Wallace, Fox, and conservatives perpetrating a fraud and accusing him of being soft on terrorism.

Clinton's counter-arguments were specific, clear, and fair and balanced. So what does FOX do? Promote the interview as "Clinton Freaks Out"... [LOOK OUT! He's telling the truth. He must be crazy!!]. Watch the fireworks this upcoming week as the video is released. See the full transcript here.

The mission of MyBlackBook is to provide people with a place to store their sexual history, partners, and experiences in a safe, secure and confidential place. To allow them to manage, update and lookup their entries in an easy way - giving them the opportunity and ability to assess their sexual behavior and activity and to make changes in their life.

This idea supposedly was spawned by a computer programmer in 2004 who had a need to create a database of his sex partners.

I'm sure nothing could go wrong with this idea.

The U.S. secretly agreed to the "real demands" set by the group behind the August 14 kidnapping of two Fox News journalists in Gaza, according to a report in the pan-Arab newspaper al Hayat.

The paper quotes "informed sources close to the mediations" as saying that the U.S. secretly negotiated with the group through leaders of "the Palestinian popular resistance committees."

Last week, the previously unknown group calling itself "The Holy Jihad Brigades" issued a statement demanding the release of all Muslims held in U.S. prisons in return for the release of the two journalists. In fact, the paper reports that the public demand was not serious and that the group's "real demands" were that the U.S. press Israel to reopen the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Palestine and cease the shelling of "Palestinian activists'" residences.

The Counter to Bush's "Talking Points"

Posted by Pile (10131 views) Add this story to MyYahoo Add this article to del.icio.us Submit article to Reddit Add story to Furl Add story to StumbleUpon [E-Mail link]

[Liars]
As the Mainstream Media reports on a number of scandals that are appearing involving the President and his administration, they will be repeatedly responding with pre-fabricated talking points based on the idea, if they say them enough (regardless of whether they're true), people will start to believe them. Please pass this around so you and your friends can be "innoculated" with the truth about the issues that various media and pundits will be ranting about.

In Summary (with details links and references later) here are the talking points and the truth:

Bush did not violate the FISA. (Yes he did)

Bush did not break the law. (Yes he did)

History shows Presidents have the power to violate the law, especially in times of war. (No it doesn't)

History shows that other Presidents like Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter did the same by overriding FISA. (No it doesn't)

Secret warrantless spying of Americans was/is required for national security reasons, since FISA was inadequate, and secret spying could have prevented 9/11. (No it wasn't/isn't and probably couldn't)

The secret spying only focused on Al Qaeda, terrorists and their supporters and one end of the intercepted communications was always in foreign soil. (Uh...No)

The leak to the New York Times, of Bush's secret spying on Americans, was a crime and had nothing to do with whistleblowers. (Rubbish)

Bush's critics are just partisan political hacks. (Takes one to know one...but wrong again)

Top Democrats in Congress supported the illegal spying. (No they didn't)
