FBI sting incites Pakistani government

It appears the FBI launched a sting operation under the premise of obtaining weapons to assassinate a Pakistani official which has outraged Pakistani authorities who are now claiming they're in more danger because of the FBI's premise. Now, I'm no FBI or international relations expert, but it seems to me, if you want to catch terrorists, you might not go undercover as people who want to kill the leaders of a government that you're trying to get cooperation from to help catch terrorists.

Who are they supposed to pretend they are? I don't know if this is as much BS as you might think. Then again I guess we should be glad the FBI didn't pose at North Koreans!
