Soda company introduces "Turkey & Gravy" soft drink

Jones Soda Company is releasing what they call a "Holiday Soda Pack" - a limited edition collection of specially-flavored soft drinks for the holiday season, including Turkey & Gravy, Cranberry soda, Mashed Potatoes and Butter and Green Bean Casserole.

The first offense here, is the notion of "limited edition" soft drinks. I first saw this with Mountain Dew, as they seem to now routinely, randomly chuck a different batch of food coloring into their caffeine-infused corn syrup concuction, and name it something cool-sounding like "Pitch Black" or "Live Wire" and declare it's "rare", supposedly making every subsequent gulp even more sweet. Yea, whatever you say.

Now the Jones company is going a step further and doing for soft drinks what Jelly Belly did with it's "Bertie Bots". How long will we have to wait for "That new car spell"-flavored soda? My guess is December.

Drink up kids. The world will end soon and you don't want to be thirsty when that happens.

More here.

no corn syrup

Actually, the Holiday Beverage Pack is sugar-free, and sweetened with Splenda, not Nutrasweet!

Plus I think Jones was doing this long before it became a "hot trend." They actually accept suggestions for new flavors from their customers, and all their labels feature customer-provided photos.

Sure, they're still cogs in the consumer machine, but they are not Coke and Pepsi level icons of evil.
im me who cares

when you open a can of soda, you aren't expecting to dip your bun in it...soda is suppose to be sweet, not fatty. being somoeone who enjoys food very much, this is one of the most dissapointing and discusting ideas i have ever heard.
If you make it...
