A 2-month-old Colorado girl was in the ICU of El Paso county's Memorial Hospital Sunday with a blood alcohol level of 0.364. At 4 times the legal limit for an adult driver, that alcohol level is toxic for a child of that age and the incident is being investigated as child abuse. Typical--The Man is trying to suppress a party girl and ruin everybody's fun.

Web sites like Amazon.com and MySpace.com may soon be inaccessible for many people using public terminals at American schools and libraries, thanks to the U.S. House of Representatives.

By a 410-15 vote on Thursday, politicians approved a bill that would effectively require that "chat rooms" and "social networking sites" be rendered inaccessible to minors, an age group that includes some of the Internet's most ardent users.

It can be a heartbreaking situation, or a life-changing one: a woman who has had trouble conceiving seeks in-vitro fertilization. At the cost of thousands of dollars a pop, eggs and sperm are harvested and merged, and the resulting embryos are transferred to the hopeful woman's uterus, in the hope that they will implant and the happy couple will become pregnant.

But is there any way to increase the woman's chances of conceiving? A new study suggests that there may be such a method--clowns.

A 16-year-old girl who tricked her parents into getting her a passport and then flew to the Mideast to be with a man she met on MySpace.com, was returned to Michigan.

This is one of the myriad of myspace stories, but I couldn't help posting it to qualify use of the "bad parents" tag, which isn't used nearly as much as it deserves.

A few years ago, Lynn Paddock sought Christian advice on how to discipline her growing brood of adopted children.

Paddock -- a Johnston County mother accused of murdering Sean, her 4-year-old adopted son, and beating two other adopted children -- surfed the Internet, said her attorney, Michael Reece. She found literature by an evangelical minister and his wife who recommended using plumbing supply lines to spank misbehaving children.

I had to create a new category just for this story it got me so worked up.

Florence Cohen, 85, of New York, upset that she bought the video game "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" for her 14-year-old grandson without knowing it contained hidden, sexually explicit scenes sued the manufacturer Wednesday on behalf of consumers nationwide.

Never mind that the game depicts prostitution, murder, cop-killing, rampant violence, illegality and anarchy in urban streets. This irresponsible parental figure got the game for her grandson and only got upset when it was discovered that there was nudity within? Nudity that couldn't be accessed without major modifications to the game?
